Obituary of Salvatore Candela

Salvatore Candela Salvatore "Sam" Candela, age 70, late of Marseilles, and formerly of Burbank, passed away at home, Friday, Octrober 23, 2009, with his devoted family by his side. Retired as a dockman for Local #710 after 22 years of service. Previously worked construction for Local #4, AFLCIO. Beloved husband of 46 years to Margaret "Mitzi" (nee George) Candela; loving father of Tammy (Fred Allen) Kunkus, Salvatore (Karyn Koval) Candela, and Annamaria (Ted) Webb; dearest grandfather of five; special great-grandfather of five; fond brother of Shirley (Jim) Schulz and Joseph (late Dawn) Candela; and uncle and cousin to many. Preceded by his parents, Joseph and Jean (Hormanski) Candela, and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2009 at Fred C.
