Obituary of William Cushing

William J. Cushing Age 61. At rest Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born July 3, 1952 in Joliet to Milfred and Lucille (nee Hoffmeyer) Cushing. Retired from the U.S. Post Office Joliet location in 2009 following 35 years of service. He was currently employed with Remco Medical as a delivery person. Member of Local #305 Postal Carriers Union. He was a a racing enthusiast, who loved camping, and was an avid cyclist and drummer. He was a member of several bands in the area. Survived by his loving wife of two years, Maribeth (nee Bertagnoli) Wunderlich; three sons, Brian, Matt and Jeff Cushing; grandson, Landon Cushing; siblings, Pat (Greg) Lafeldt, Paul (Cathy) Cushing, Rich (Teresa) Cushing, Mary Beth (Angelo) DeAngelis, Joan (Rich) Thompson and Danny (Patty) Cushing; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Cushing; and brother, Mike Cushing. All friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Avenue, Joliet from 12:00 noon until time of Mass at 2:00 p.m. As it was his wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded.
