Obituary of John Wilson

John Wilson "Jack" Age 82. Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Ingalls Hospice in Harvey, IL. He was born August 12, 1931 in Chicago to the late Margaret (McCarthy) and Thomas Wilson and had resided in Chicago most all of his life. He is survived by one brother, James (Shirley) Wilson; one sister, Marylyn Wilson; fond uncle of Kathleen (late Felix) Carrizales, Stephan (Katie) Wilson, June (Dennis) Spear and Leslie Wilson; dear great uncle of Molly and Maeve; Nicholas, Alexis and Justin, Ryan and Connor and Joseph, Brittaney and Mikala; and longtime friend of Richard Rowan. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas William, Jr. (late Delores) Wilson and nephew, Michael Wilson. Jack, a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL, was a US Army Veteran who served his Country during the Korean War. He retired from the City of Chicago as a Civil Engineer after more than 30 years of service. He loved to read, especially auto biographies and history. As it was John's request, Cremation Rites have been accorded. Private Inurnment will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squard.
