Obituary of Janette Gentile

Janette M. Gentile (nee Surges) Age 78. At rest Friday, May 2, 2014 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet to Matthew and Marguerite (nee Meyer) Surges, she was a lifelong resident. Formerly employed as a legal secretary for 40 years. Member of the Church of St. Anthony CCW, and the Women of the Moose Chapter #84. Surviving are two brothers, Gerald Surges of Joliet and Donald (Ann) Surges of Grand Junction, CO; sister-in-law of Jean Bellos of Joliet, Rosemary McGuire of Willowbrook, and Frank Gentile of Joliet; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph P. Gentile; parents; one brother, Gordon R. Surges; her in-laws, Betty (Edward) Vonch, Mary (William) Hodock, Carmella Stimac, Marilyn Gentile, Theodore Bellos and Samuel Gentile. Funeral Services for Janette M. Gentile will be Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet to the Church of St. Anthony for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
