Carl Gene Holbrook
Age 68, of Channahon, formerly of Bridgeview, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 4, 2014 at home. Born and raised in Puncheon, KY to the late Carl and Goldia (nee King) Holbrook. He had resided in Chicago for many years. A retired truck driver from Brandenburg Trucking after many years of service. An avid fisherman and NASCAR fan.
Survived by one son, Tim (Charlotte); two daughters, Pam (Ron) Abney and Vicki (John) Weller; grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Jacob, Collin, Haley, Lucas, Brandi and Hunter; his "furry kids", Bubby and Toey; sister,Trula Cawley; brother, Jim Holbrook; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; two brothers, Julius and Uyless; and three sisters, Dorothy, Elsie and Irene;
Funeral Services for Carl G. Holbrook will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet.
