Obituary of Bessie Frederick

Bessie M. Frederick (nee Hamilton) Age 90, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Bessie's hobbies included baking, cooking, family gatherings, and gardening. She was employed at the Joliet Arsenal during WWII and also in the 1960's. Survived by her daughter, Nancy Steinberg; granddaughter, Jaime (Bill) Steinberg Null; great-grandchildren, Alex and Eric Null; three step-grandchildren, David, Greg and John Lindstrom and their families; daughter-in-law, Darlene Frederick; and sister-in-law, Shirley Hamilton; several nieces and nephews also survive Preceded in death by her husband, Louis James Frederick; son, William Frederick; grandson, Chad Steinberg; siblings, Margaret (Charles) Frederick, Gilbert (Myrna) Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, Alice (Guy) Wren, and two siblings in infancy. Bessie M. Frederick will Lie in State on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 310 N. Broadway, Joliet. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church. Visitation Thursday 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home. For information 815-741-5500.
