Obituary of Marion Connell

Marion E. Connell (nee Kinzler) Age 91. Born March 23, 1923. Passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Plainfied, Mrs. Connell, along with her husband, Jay Connell, and son Jim, farmed in the Plainfield area. Member of St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. Marion worked at the Plainfield Enterprise, Jones Hardware in Plainfield, Gehrkes Food Store of Plainfield, and volunteered at Freedom Elementary School in Plainfield. Surviving are her loving and devoted son, Jim Connell and his wife, Dottie Connell of Minooka; seven grandchildren, Jim Jr. (Amy) Connell, Patti (fiance Mark Hudson) Connell, Stephanie (Bryan) Cole and Kyle (Alexandra) Connell, Michelle (Shaun) Neitzel, Kim (Craig) Stob and Barbie (fiance, Jake Langhoff) Miller; 12 loving great-grandchildren, Cameron, Maggie, Griffin, Courtney and Kate Connell, Tyler and Taylor Cole, Bella Hudson, Allison and Lily Neitzel, Leah and Norah Stob; one sister, Loriane Boughton of Missouri; sisters-in-law, Mary Rehmeyer of Oak Forest, Joyce Kinzler of Plainfield, Margie Connell of West Brooklyn and Ardith Kinzler of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her husband, John J. Connell; her parents, Jack and Emma Kinzler; daughter-in-law, Kathie Connell; siblings Bob Kinzler, Lorene Coyne, Evelyn Hohenwater, Dick Kinzler and Helen Kinzler. Funeral Services for Marion E. Connell will be Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery.
