This feisty lady passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 with her loving family at her side. Born in Arlington Heights, IL to Earl and Avil (nee Abbott) Johnson, she was a Will County resident all her life. Member of the Ladies Auxiliary Cantigny Post #367 VFW. Retired from A&P and Cub Foods. After her retirement, she worked at the Joliet Train Station coffee shop.
Survived by her two daughters, Debra (Joseph) Bostjancic and Melody (Richard) Kysiak; grandchildren, Daniel and Jordan Bostjancic; her granddogs, Charlie and Phoebe Bostjancic; one sister, Alda Olsen; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lou Webb; one grandson, Gary Michael Walton; and nine siblings.
Gin was a fun-loving, energetic lady, who was loved by many. She was always on the go! Her hobbies included bingo, reading, going to the casino and spending time with animals. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and pets.
Funeral Services for Virginia A. Webb will be Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet. Interment Plainfield Township Cemetery. Memorials in her name to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home. For information: 815-741-5500.
