Obituary of Dean Fredericks

Dean Michael Fredericks "Dean-O" Age 20, of Morris, IL, died tragically, Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Born July 14, 1993 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Chicago to Elizabeth (Gardner) and Michael Fredericks, he resided in the Hickory Hills/Palos area until moving to Morris with his family at the age of 5. Dean attended ICS, then White Oak Grade School and graduated with the class of 2012 from Morris Community High School. Precious and adored son of Mike and Elizabeth; loving brother of Samantha "Sami" Fredericks. Dear grandson of Sharon Gardner, the late Thomas Gardner; Patricia Baetzel and the late Joseph Baetzel; Susan Partin and the late Dale Walker. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins including Amanda, Aidan, Avery and Abby. He will also be missed by many close friends and his best friend "Buddy". Dean-o had a heart of gold and would befriend anyone. He will be remembered for his quick wit, charismatic personality and love of fishing. Despite our loss, we will find strength in knowing he's in a better place, perhaps sitting on a log fishing with "Bear" at his side. Visitation Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 3 - 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Rt. 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris. Visitation will continue Monday morning June 9, 2014 from 9:00 a.m.- 10:15 at the funeral home with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. at New Community Christian Church, 705 E. Washington Street in Morris. Interment Sample Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marcus Nix, Woody Crow, Tyler Darling, Joseph Reeves, D.J. Alagna, Jake Contreras, Randy Walker, Brandon Sgro and Skylar Regalado. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dean's name can be made to the BickellFoundation.org (a Pitbull rescue organization).
