Obituary of Viola Ramsay

Viola M. Ramsay (nee Dollinger) Age 101, passed away peacefully, Thursday June 12, 2014 at the Timbers of Shorewood. She was born November 8, 1912 to the late Margaret (nee Hausser) and John Dollinger on a farm near Minooka, IL. Viola began her schooling in a one room country schoolhouse, known as Link School and graduated with the Class of 1929 from Plainfield High School. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, George in 2004; one brother, Vernon Dollinger; a great nephew, Thomas Jeschke and her parents. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Cecelia Dollinger of Channahon; five nieces and nephews, Donna (Paul) Jeschke of Mazon, IL, Mary Dollinger (David Kavanagh) of Lake Forest, IL, John (Noreen) Dollinger of Channahon, IL, Paula (Greg) Lorenz of Plainfield, IL and Edward (Gloria) Dollinger of Joliet, IL. She was also a dear great-aunt of Stephen (Erin) Jeschke; Lauren (Matthew) Perkaus, Michael Kavanagh; Heidi Dollinger, Nicholas (Holly) Dollinger, Tyson Dollinger, Theresa Dollinger, Anna (Wes) Strohbehn; Elizabeth Lorenz; Matthew, Casey and Nathan Dollinger. Proud great-great aunt of Tess and Reagan Jeschke. Viola was a retired bookkeeper after a 40 year career. She and her late husband, George, resided in Sun City, AZ for over 30 years where they were active with the Sun City Players, Organ Club and the Symphony. Prior to living in Sun City, they resided in Dallas, TX for nearly 30 years. As it was Viola's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded. All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 N. Brookforest Drive (Rt. 59) in Shorewood, IL from 9:30 a.m. until the Memorial Mass is celebrated at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
