Obituary of Marilyn Carneghi

Marilyn A. Carneghi (nee Petersen) Age 76, of Joliet, and formerly of Homer Glen, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 24, 2011 at home surrounded by her devoted family. Born September 21, 1935 in Chicago to the late Maria (Matous) and Alfred Petersen. Survived by her husband, Joe Carneghi; sons and daughters, Gary (Charlotte) Gibson, Donna (Mark) Hall, Wendell L. (Donna) Gibson, Jr., Scott Carneghi and Jayme (Jonathan Stachura) Carneghi; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Balabon and Shirley Petraitis. Preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Sharon and Debbie; and two brothers, Alfred and Roy. Marilyn was a manager at Sears Optical for 15 years. She enjoyed bowling, and will be fondly remembered by all of her family. Memorial services for Marilyn Carneghi will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
