Obituary of Donald Weber

Donald F. Weber Age 83, of Coal City, passed away July 15th, 2014 at 10:15 pm. Born January 1, 1931 in Ransom, IL. he was a graduate of Streator High School, Class of 1949. Donald worked for Commonwealth Edison, first in Streator, and later in Joliet, as a lineman and substation construction crew leader, retiring with over 40 years service. He was a 56 year member and former board member of CECO Recreation Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and spending time with his family at CECO. Survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane (nee Lehmann) Weber; his children, Anthony (Margarite) Weber of Joliet, IL, John (Lynn) Weber of Cedar Rapids, IA, Joseph (Christine) Weber of Streator, IL, Margaret Humbracht of Decatur, IL and Jeanne (Scott) McLeod of Albuquerque, NM.; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Zappa of Dwight; and nieces and nephews. Preceded by a daughter, Catherine (John) VanLiere, his parents, Frank Weber and Myrtle (nee Kates) VanDever; and one brother, Elmer "Sonny" Weber. Cremation rites have been accorded.
