Carson, David L. "Dave"
Age 84. Passed away peacefully Monday January 30, 2012 at Lakewood Nursing Home with his family by his side. Dave was born in Ohio relocating to Joliet in the 1950's. Dave retired from Caterpillar after 35 years. He was a long time member of the Moose, Elks, and several Library Book Clubs. Dave enjoyed chess, reading, Chicago Cubs, fishing, swimming and dancing to Polkas with his wife. Dave was a polio survivor.
Preceded in death by his parents Tom and Stella (Steed) Carson, a brother Tom (Leona) Carson, a sister Kate (Dan) Roberson, half brothers Jim (Mary) Glasgow, and Butch (Donna) Glasgow, a half sister Roberta (Bill) Storkey, and a brother-in-law Donald (Late Bethel) Barone.
Survived by his devoted and loving wife Barbara L. (nee Barone), a half brother Robert (Patty) Glasgow, a half sister Jolinda (Edward) Bundy, two sisters-in-law, Norma (William, "Duke") Dutkiewicz, Dolores (Late Dean) Reynolds, brother-in-law Harold "Ken" (Marion) Barone, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive.
Special thank you to his caregivers in his last years of life to sister-in-law Norma Dutkiewicz, niece Dawn Barone Martin, special friend Elizabeth Klein, nephew Daniel Barone, all the staff at the Timbers of Shorewood and Lakewood Nursing Home and Joliet Area Community Hospice. Contributions to the Joliet Area Community Hospice in his name would be appreciated. At the request of Dave, services were private. Arrangements by:
