Obituary of Mary Ahrens

Mary M. Ahrens (nee Maher) Age 93. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Salem Village Nursing Home. Born in Joliet to the late James and Mary (nee Walsh) Maher, she was a lifelong resident. Member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Women's Sodality for many years. A volunteer at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center for 25 years. Recipient of the United Way Volunteer of the Year Award. Survived by her loving daughter, Linda (Ronald) Mangerson of Tucson, AZ; three grandsons, Collin Harvey, Barret Harvey and Brian Sangmeister. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ahrens. Funeral Services for Mary M. Ahrens will be Monday, April 4, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
