Edward R. Cain
Age 81. At rest Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his late residence. Born in Pulaski County, MO to the late Everett and Nyla Cain. Resident of Joliet most of his life. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Retired from Argonne National Laboratory in 1994 following 36 years of service. Member of American Legion Post #1080, Cantigny Post VFW #367, Joliet Moose Lodge #300, Joliet Elks Lodge #296 and Moran A.C.
Survived are six children, Nancy (Ed) Gregory of Mt. Vernon, IL, Gail (Mark) Stevens of Joliet, Don (Julie) Cain of Joliet, Glenn (Kim) Cain of Bourbonnais, IL, Lisa (Jim) Byrne of North Aurora, IL and Paul Cain of Joliet; eight grandchildren, Bryan and Brad Bubulka, Andrew Stevens, Katelyn Cain and Benjamin Cain, Patrick, David (Sarah) and Matt Byrne; aunts and cousins also survive.
Preceded by his loving wife, Glenda Cain (2000); his parents; and one brother, Wayne in infancy.
Funeral Services for Edward R. Cain will be held privately. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Morning Star Mission would be appreciated. Family will recieve all friends and relatives on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 3-7 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL.
