Just as anyone else who knew you, Uncle Johnny, I wish I had one more chance to talk to you, one more chance to hear your voice, your laugh, you being silly and cutting up, teasing . . . you being you. I love you like I love my own family. After I was divorced from your nephew, you continued to treat me like family and went out of your way to visit Cynthia and I when we were in Chicago. You supported her school fundraisers, watched her grow up via facebook and always had something loving to say. What a loving, caring, and genuine man you have been. I sure love you and will miss you, but look forward to seeing you again one day.

Thank you for being an Uncle of Care, Love and Kindness. And all the while still being able to display the qualities of a man's man. You are certainly going to be missed. I only wish I had a little more time to talk and sit with ya. Hindsight is 20/20.

You Will always be with us

Today we must say final goodbyes to your life on this earth. we know you are in a better place without worry or pain. We shared a special bond as only brothers can which I will cling to forever. We traveled many roads some very difficult but most wonderful. You touched so many people especially close family and friends. Love you brother and will miss you greatly.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I was a former neighbor of John's and he was a good friend to me the whole 13 yrs I lived there. He was one of a kind for sure and I sincerely always thought a lot of him. We had a lot of laughs, he really was a great guy. I'm sorry I did not see him in recent years, but I never forgot him.
