Obituary of Beverly Rokowski

Beverly J. Rokowski (nee Kozerski) Age 77, of Joliet, and formerly a longtime Cicero, IL, resident, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Berwyn, IL on July 22, 1937 to the late Margaret and Edward Kozerski, she was raised in Cicero, and was a graduate of Morton East High School Beloved wife of 59 years to Ken; loving mother of Sheryl (Paul) Butkovich, Sue Long, David (Cathy) Rokowski and Shelly (Neal) O'Brien; devoted grandmother of Paul, Jr., and Julie Butkovich, Ken Long; Scott Rokowski; Heather and Amanda O'Brien; Julia and Cody Holt; proud great-grandma of Jeremy and Jordan Riha; dear sister of Marilyn Petkewicz, Karen Auer, and the late Linda Schade; many nieces and nephews also survive. Bev loved her family and family get-togethers. She enjoyed being a Cubs fan, flower gardening, bowling, frogs, feeding the birds as well as bird and deer watching. Funeral Services for Beverly Rokowski will be held Friday August 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds. in Joliet. Interment to follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Stickney, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday, 3-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
