Obituary of William Wonnell

William J. Wonnell Age 86. Passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet and a lifetime area resident. A WWII and Korean War Army Veteran. Retired from DeSoto Chemical Company after several years of service. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet (nee Troha) Wonnell of Crest Hill; three sisters, Lorraine (late Olin) Robinette, Marilyn (late Charles) Thomas and Jean (late Nelson) Gardner all of Joliet; brothers-in-law, James and Joseph Troha; sister-in-law, Carol Troha; numerous nieces and nephews and very special friend, Fred Milantoni also survive. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Alma (nee Woldt) Wonnell; three brothers, Robert, Edwin and Norman Wonnell; and two sisters, Elsie and Dolores Wonnell. As it was William's wish, cremation rites have been accorded and his final earthly remains have been interred in the Columbarium at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
