Obituary of Robert McLean
Robert S. McLean, Sr.
Age 57, of Joliet, passed away suddenly, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at home.
Bob worked as a machinist, most recently for The Filtration Group, and previously for Ball Glass. He was a lifelong member of the Belmont and Ingalls Park Athletic Clubs in Joliet. He will be remembered as a hard worker who put his family first above all else.
Surviving are three sons, Robert McLean, Jr., Donald (Sandy) McLean, and Paul (Jeanine) McLean all of Joliet. He was also like a father to James (Catherine) McKenna of Oceanside, CA, and Carol (Fred) Lester of Harrisburg, AR. Also surviving are six grandchildren; one great-grandson; his brothers and sisters, James R. (Susan) McLean of Joliet, Kathleen (John) Ramsey of Joliet, Lawrence R. (Bua) McLean of Seneca, IL, and Carol M. Huddleston of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Preceded by his wife, Jo Ann (nee Frank) McLean (March 21, 2008); his parents Richard N. and Patricia Mae (nee McKenna) McLean; one sister, Patricia M. (George) Kilby; one brother, Steven A. McLean; and a nephew, Dennis A. Kilby.
A Visitation for Robert S. McLean, Sr. will be held Friday, September 12, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet.
