Obituary of Florence Schorie

Florence R. Schorie (nee Stolarski) Age 84, of Joliet, IL passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014. She was born February 2, 1930 to the late Victoria (nee Szewczyk) and Stanley Stolarski in Chicago, IL where she was raised, graduating with the class of 1948 from Jones Commercial High School. Beloved mother of Patricia Schorie, Jean Schorie, Thomas Schorie and Bill Schorie (George Nichols); proud grandmother of Thomas Warren Schorie; dear sister of Valerie (Charles) Cepl and Robert Stolarski; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Schorie (1994); parents; two sisters, Eleanor Boruta and Estelle Rosenau; two brothers, Theodore and Raymond Stolarski. Florence retired from St. Joseph Medical Center in 1999 after serving 20 years as a CNA. In her younger years, prior to marriage, she was a legal secretary in Chicago. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 9:15 am from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Jude Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
