Obituary of Walter Ratkovich

Walter Ratkovich "Rocky" Age 85. Passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Bolingbrook Adventist Hospital. Born in Chicago and moved to Joliet over 50 years ago. Retired from City of Joliet Water Department in 1995. A U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Survived by her two daughters, Sharon (William) Murray and Paulette Ratkovich; one son, Walter J. (Nancy) Ratkovich; grandchildren, Tim (Wendi) and Mike (Jessica) Murray; great-grandson, Brett Murray; great-granddaughter, Lexi Mae Murray; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Kramer); his parents, Joseph and Lila (nee Larson) Ratkovich. Funeral Services for Walter Ratkovich will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home Chapel, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Woodlawn Mausoleum where full military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. For information: 815-741-5500.
