Today and every day I pay tribute to you Dad, by trying to be the best Son, Husband, Father and Brother I can be. It's hard to believe its been one year since you have gone home to be with the Lord. I pay great tribute to you Dad because you taught me to be loving, kind, grateful and humble. I live a comfortable life today because of the hard work and sacrifices you made for us, each and every day. I miss you every day but take comfort knowing we will all be together again. Thanks for being the best Dad anyone could ask for. I love you and miss you, Tommy

Dad:
When I was young, you always told me When I was young, you always told me "That there is no such word as CAN'T". I remember looking in up in the dictionary. I told you that I found it, your reply was, "NO it is not a real word, just remember that there is NO such word as CAN'T". It took me a while but I finally figure out what you meant. That the word CAN'T should never be in MY dictionary, that I should follow my dreams and never give up.
In high school I tried out for the basketball team, I made the 'A' team but only got about 30 seconds of playing time the first game. I asked you if I should move to the 'B' team so I could play. Your reply was: "You could or you could just work harder and get that starting spot." So I went out there and was determined to get that starting spot, two games later I was the starter and continued to play through college. I took that word CAN'T out of my dictionary and think of your words whenever I am faced with a difficult situation. Thanks dad for always believing in me and pushing me to follow my dreams. I hope that I can instilled that in my children and that they follow their dreams. Dad you were the best Dad anyone could ever have. I love you more than you will ever know. You have just made heaven a little brighter place. I know you will be watching over all of us and I will be looking up to you often.
Love Ya, Colleen

My heart goes out to my Aunt Lorraine and cousins Karen, Tom and Colleen. Uncle Grant was a class act -- funny, generous and creative. I appreciated his honest look at life. Much love to all the family. Jane

Grant and his family have been not only wonderful neighbors of mine, but friends, since I first moved in across the street and met them in Feb.,1998.Grant was always ready to help me many times-even running across the street to see if I needed help unloading groceries out of the car! We shared many happy dinners, such as at the K.of C. fish frys-where he would even make sure I had enough soda or water in my cup-going and refilling it-so sweet. I was always included for lunch or dinner whenever I was here. One year, when I was out of state and was having a painter friend of my son-in-law staying at my house and painting it-they had him over many times too! In later years, I would see him sitting outside on his swing in the yard, enjoying the sun.I miss both of them since they moved-the neighborhood isnt the same. Im so grateful I was up here from Florida, when Lorraine called me-and was able to come to Sunny Hill, kiss him one more time, tell him I loved him and thank him again for everything. He was a wonderful man and friend. I will miss him so much, but will, with our faith, see him someday again.
