Obituary of George Walther

George C. Walther Age 84. Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born and raised in Germany, he was a resident of Clarksburg, MA for 30 years. Retired from Williams College of Williamstown, MA as a Master Tool & Die Maker and Instructor. Preceded in death by his wife, Marlene H. (nee Cohen) Walther (2012); his parents and one sister, Elfriede Krebs. Survived by two daughters, Noelle (Joe) Viola of Shorewood and Lynn Barr of Chicago; one sister, Lieselotte (Karlheinz) Schwebel of Sulzbach, Germany; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companions, Troy and Max. A Memorial Service for George C. Walther will be held in the Spring of 2015 in Clarksburg, MA and will be published prior to services. As it was George's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded. Interment will take place in the family burial lot at the Clarksburg Cemetery.
