Obituary of Maria Drost

Maria Drost Maria Drost, age 69, of Plainfield, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 23, 2014 in the emergency room of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. She was born March 10, 1945 in Poland. Her parents were the late Franciszek and Anna (Rakoczy) Szczechula. She is survived by her beloved husband, Zenon Drost of Plainfield; her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Stanislaw and Anna Drost of Plainfield; two precious grandsons, Stan, Jr. and Anthony; and many other family members and friends. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother. Her gentleness and caring will never be forgotten. Funeral services for Maria will be Monday, October 27, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, to Holy Cross Church, 901 Elizabeth Street, Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Joliet. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
