Obituary of Lorraine Zola

Lorraine June Zola (nee Baxter) Age 83. Passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at Silver Cross Hospital. Born May 17, 1931 in Aurora, IL. She was previously employed by First National Bank, retired from Joliet Arsenal and was the treasurer of her condo association. She enjoyed spending time at the river and was an avid Cubs fan who never missed a game. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed spending time with. Survived by her children, Paul and Deborah (Art) Alling; grandchildren, Jason (Janika), Joshua, Jill-Anna Alling, Scott (Ruthie), Keith (Angie) and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Jacob Rust, Jackson and Julia Alling and John, Emily and Mya Zola; sister-in-law, Catherine (Jerry) Petersen, JoAnn (Jay) Fonseca and Kathy Zola; many nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband, John of 66 years; her mother, June Baxter; sister, Joyce Simons; and brother-in-law, Charles Zola. Funeral Services for Lorraine J. Zola will be Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Entombment Elmhurst Cemetery Mausoleum.
