Obituary of Gerry Spisak

Gerry D. Spisak (nee Hiner) Age 73. At rest Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, following a lingering illness. Born in Chicago, she moved to Indiana, and lived in Joliet for 50 years. Retired from K-Mart Corporation following 28 years of service. Gerry was an avid reader, enjoyed bingo, her computer and spending time with her family. Loving wife of the late Lawrence R. Spisak (Aug. 18, 2014); beloved mother of Christine (Bruce) Criss of Plainfield; dearest sister of Jack Hiner of Downers Grove and Jean (late Wayne) Rose of Crest Hill. Preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Schumacher (2007); parents, Albert and Dorothy (nee PIttman) Hiner; one sister, Julie Banner. At it was Gerry's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service for Gerry and Larry will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet.
