Benny and Sue Allen posted a condolence

Over the past few days, I have tried to think of a memory to share of my best friend. However, it occurred to me that there isn't a "single" memory that I can share because there are so many wonderful memories that I have of times spent with Tina. It occurred to me that my memories with her were never about "what" we did or "where" we were, but were 100% about WHO I was with. We have known Tina and Marty for a short 7½ years and during that time we have traveled with them, been neighbors for months at a time, sometimes in the north, sometimes in the south and spent every day together going about our daily activities, sometimes having something special planned, sometimes doing absolutely nothing, sometimes playing board games, planning meals, boating (or "fishing" as the guys called it), going to the casino, going "garage saling" or to flea markets…it just didn't matter. But it was always "special" because she made it special. Tina was so kind and had a sweet smile, warm heart and an infectious laugh that I never tired of hearing. She was so very proud of her family and loved them so much that with every word she spoke of them you could see it in her face. She was like a sister to me and just like my sister...I treasure every moment I had with her. Even though I only knew her for a relatively short time, we became very close and I learned a lot from her. She was one of the most generous people I have ever known and would give her friends and family anything she could. But those that know her also know she wouldn't give more than a dime for a paperback book at a garage sale and she would scold me every time I told her I paid more for one. She was a wonderfully devoted wife and mother and she passed her passion for garage sales on to her children and she taught them well because they find the best deals and I love hearing their stories. One specific memory I'll always keep close to my heart of both Tina and Marty was during a festival in downtown Hayward, Wisconsin, they danced in the streets to show Benny and I how Polish dancing was done, being very proud of their roots, laughing and cutting the rug, making a great showing. Even though I thank God for every minute He gave me with her here on this earth and even though I miss her more than my aching heart can express in words, I am glad that she is with God now and no longer suffering or in pain. She is one of the strongest women I have ever known and with all she has gone through and as much as we shared, she rarely complained and she had hope and was optimistic through it all to the end…until she had no more to give. I imagine that God needed her in heaven to organize and run his garage sale. But rather than selling "things", I expect He gives gifts of love, patience, strength, compassion, courage, trust and all the things for which people pray. So, when I pray for His help, I like to think His delivery is made through Tina and her "Heavenly Garage Sale." Tina, you have been my best friend, confidant and consoler, given me comfort when I needed it and just been there for me at every turn. And just like anyone else that has had the pleasure and honor of knowing you, you have touched my life and my heart in more ways than I can count. I bless the friendship we shared and will cherish it always. You will be in my heart always and forever and I will miss you more than I can say. Until we meet again, may you rest in peace, my sweet "Polish" friend.

Tina no longer needs our prayers as she is safe in God's arms. Those of us left behind feel the pain of losing such a wonderful, caring, sweet wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend and those around her whose lives she touched. So, I pray for Marty, Beth, Augie, Susan and Little Marty, their spouses and all the grandchildren that the tears in your eyes and the emptiness in your hearts will soon be healed by God's grace and that your fond memories and the wonderful life you shared with Tina will bring smiles to your faces and lighten the burdens in your hearts. No one knows why things happen the way the do, but God always knows. The close relationships and bonds that you have developed throughout Tina's illness is one gift from God, delivered through Tina, which would make her very proud and happy. You can bet she is smiling down and watching over each and every one of you from heaven and she will always be with you.

Beth, I am very sorry for the loss of your mother. I know what a difficult time you are going through. Nothing can replace your mom. Keep her memory alive by keeping them very close to your heart and sharing them with your children. I will continue to pray for you. I know, even as time passes, the loss does not get any easier. God bless.
