Obituary of Jerome Comer

Jerome P. Comer "Jerry" Age 83. At rest Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Born October 18, 1931 to Henry and Beatrice (nee Feller) Comer. A graduate of Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1949, he received his BS from Lewis College and his MBA from Northwestern University. Jerry served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Church of St. Jude, Joliet for 35 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling and was an avid Joliet Catholic football fan. Beloved husband of 47 years to Joyce A. (nee Morley); devoted father of John Comer and Anne Comer; dearest grandfather of Katherine Comer; fond brother of Barbara (Albert) Fox, Ann Pacatte, and Michael (Louise) Comer; uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, John and Mae Morley; brother, Peter Comer; sister-in-law, Judith Burns and brother-in-law, Marcel Pacatte. Funeral Services for Jerome P. Comer will be Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to the Church of St. Jude for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Church of St. Jude or Masses would be appreciated.
