Obituary of Judith Parks

Judith L. Gay-Parks (Bonner) Age 74, of Morris and a former longtime Channahon resident, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home on Monday, December 1, 2014. Born in Channahon on June 8, 1940 to Anna (nee Long) and the late William G. Gay. Beloved mother of Judy Ann (Omar) Bahaeddin of Pacifica, CA and the late James Bonner in infancy; loving grandmother of Alex Ganster and Michael Ganster both of Joliet; proud great-grandmother of the light of her life, "Little Miss" Anya Rosella McKinnon; dearest daughter of Anna Rosella Gay of Channahon; loving sister of Harriet (late Edward) Wicburg of Oceanside, CA, William Gay and Robert (Colleen) Gray both of Channahon; several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husbands, Charles "Charlie" Parks and William Bonner; father, William Gay; and son, James. Judith retired from Fisher Body of Willow Springs after many years of service. She also worked at Silver Cross Hospital and the Ammunition Plant (APSA) in her younger years. Funeral Services for Judith L. Parks will be Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet. Interment Willard Grove Cemetery, Channahon. Visitation TODAY Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Judy's wish was for everyone to wear their favorite jeans at her wake and funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
