Sending sincerely felt sympathy to the boys...Jason and Scott on the loss of their father. Lee always had a cheery disposition when I knew him and as others have said a kindness about him. The loss of a father is a deep loss. Blessings to all Lee's family as they grieve his transition.

I remember Lee from classes we had together at Greenville High School. I also remember his Mom coming into the McClellan's store at Easter and buying loaded Easter baskets for all the family. God's peace to all of Lee's family. Clark Kent ...Columbus Ohio...GHS Class of 68.

Through a mutual friend, Steve Laughlin, I first met lee in 1965. We wanted to form a rock band, a cover band. Lee was two years our senior. But, I was quick to discover, he was a very capable keyboard player; as a plus, he had a good singing voice as well. Over the next 5 years, our band went through personnel changes, but Lee always remained. He could learn the music of the songs in a jiffy, and unlike me, he always sang in tune. The final roster of The Blues Reaction included Lee (keyboards), Pat Irish (drums), David Vanderlip (guitar), Burt Ruble (lead singer/front man), and me on bass. What great fun and a memorable time we had rehearsing and playing out! While Lee went through a period of struggling with substance abuse, he managed to get clean and sober. I’d like to remember Lee as a highly intelligent person, with a sweet and gentle nature, who always treated me with respect and kindness. He will be missed.
