Ethel E. Lukas
(nee Reisch)
Age 83, of Joliet, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, surrounded by her family.
After raising her family, she went to work as a cashier for Eagle Food Stores for 22 years and was a member of the Retail Clerks Union.
She was a loving mother, a caring and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, and a friend to everyone. For many years while living at Joshua Arms, people came to depend on her for their transportation everywhere.
Surviving are her five children, Paul George Lukas, Jr. of Joliet, Cheryl Lukas of Joliet, Nancy Haviland of Steger, Eileen (Robert) Boris of Wilmington and Don (Lisa) Lukas of Shorewood; a special niece, Mary (David) Klen of Naperville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Theresa Nerren; and many nieces and nephews..
Preceded in death by her husband, Paul George Lukas, Sr.; her parents, Earl and Molly Rose (nee Yunker) Reish; a daughter-in-law, Jan Lukas; one brother, Earl Reish; and four sisters, Velma Lucas, Lucille Uthe, Mae Hebel and Marian Horn.
Funeral Services for Ethel E. Lukas will be Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
