Obituary of Elizabeth Milosevich

Elizabeth C. Milosevich Age 89, late of Romeoville, IL and formerly of Decatur, IL and Auburndale, FL, passed away at home Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born March 8, 1925 in Vincennes, IN to John W. and Mary Etta (Kuster) Bonner, she grew up in Fairfield, IL and attended Southern Illinois University where she met her husband of 66 years, Samuel "Sam" Milosevich. They married March 28, 1948. Elizabeth "Libby" worked several years as an executive secretary for Lincoln Laboratories, Forsyth, IL and retired from A. E. Staley Manufacturing Company, Decatur, IL. She was recognized as a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) by the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) in 1970. She was also honored as Secretary of the Year in 1979 by the Decatur Chapter of the National Secretaries Association (NSA). She was a loving and devoted wife, and a beloved mother and grandmother, and had been an active member of the Presbyterian Church. She will be remembered for her tireless support of her family, and for sharing her interest in world cultures and international travel. Accompanied by her husband, Elizabeth organized and led several tours in Europe for a commercial travel company. She was also an avid reader. Surviving are her beloved husband; three sons, Sam A. (Connie) Milosevich of Carmel, IN, Joe B. (Diane) Milosevich of Crest Hill, IL and John R. (Janet) Milosevich of Grain Valley, MO; and her grandchildren, Erin and Ryan Milosevich, Shelley (Tony) Johnson, Matthew and Julie Milosevich, William (Angela) Milosevich, and Sarah and Darren Milosevich. Preceded by her parents; and one brother, Joe B. Bonner, serving in World War II. Cremation Rites have been accorded and a memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Fairfield, IL. Memorials may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
