Obituary of Mary Norman

Mary Alice Norman Mary Alice Norman (nee Murrow) Age 79, of Galatia, IL passed away peacefully in her daughter's home in Morris, IL on January 26, 2015. Born in Harrisburg, IL to the late John David Murrow and Mary (Logsdon) Murrow. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clayborn Dale Norman; sister, Elizabeth Ann Reed; brothers, David Murrow, Claude Murrow, Bill Murrow and Darrell "Butch" Murrow. Surviving are her children, Clay Norman of Ft. Worth, TX, Rhonda (John) Stanley of Morris, IL, John Norman of Sugar Grove, IL, Larry (Linda) Norman of Plainfield, IL and William Norman of Morris, IL; grandchildren, Matthew & Leslie Norman, Joe & Amy Norman, John & Mary Stanley, David & Kimberly Schillo, Kyle & Raice Norman. Also survived by two sisters, Lucille Forwe of Salem, MO and Carrol Cluck of Galatia, IL; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked as a full-time homemaker raising five children with her husband of 55 years. Mary's hobbies included cooking, quilting, gardening and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Norman family would like to thank Joliet Area Community Hospice for their excellent care, guidance and support. A memorial service is planned in Harrisburg, IL this spring.
