Obituary of Alfred Foschi

Alfred W. Foschi "Al" Age 86. At rest Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Alfred was born November 2, 1928 to the late Edward and Theresa (nee Zitello) Foschi. Alfred was a lifetime resident of the city of Crest Hill. He attended Chaney Grade School. Alfred worked for Powers Thompson Construction Company and later entered into the sewer, water, excavating and wrecking business with his two brothers under the name of Foschi Brothers. He later ran his own construction business. Alfred was a lifetime member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150. Survived by one sister, Phyllis (George) Comerford; brother-in-law, William Ray Hayes; nieces and nephews, Janet (John) Brandolino, Jack (Jennifer) Foschi, George (Terra) Comerford III, Alfred J. Foschi, Natalie (Jereme) Leahy, Jacob Foschi, Andrew, Ian, Eva and Lucas Comerford; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by three sisters, Marie (late Phillip) Lavazza, Millie (Raymond) Hayes and Shirley (late Richard) Lilek; and brothers, Edward and Joseph Foschi; and one nephew, Edward V. Foschi. Funeral Services for Alfred W. Foschi will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
