Obituary of Ruth Jaggers-Schneider

Ruth L. Jaggers-Schneider (nee Anderson) Age 87. At rest Monday, February 16, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center. Born in Elgin, IL to the late Gottfried and Clara (Woodley) Anderson, she was a lifelong resident of Lockport. Retired from the State of Illinois Crime Lab in 1993. Ruth's lifelong ambition was to grow up, get married and start a family. Surviving are six daughters, Linda (Mike) Reining, Pat (Rick) Johnson both of Jacksonville, IL, Laurie (Bob) Staab of Joliet, Sue (Mark) Reinking of Austin, TX, Beth (Tom) Rapcan of Frankfort and Stacey (Scott) Reed of Austin, TX; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty (Bob) Gatons of Plainfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, Elroy "Bud" Jaggers (1990); her second husband, Maynard Schneider (2010); her granddaughter, Susan Johnson in infancy; her parents; and one sister, Lois Dubrovich-Canaday. Funeral Services for Ruth L. Schneider will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Private interment Lockport City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
