Obituary of Landon Cherrone

Landon James Cherrone Born April 9, 2012, passed away at home in his father's arms June 29, 2012 in Springfield, IL. Beloved son of Michael and Emelie (nee Laursen) Cherrone, of Springfield, formerly of Morris, IL. He also leaves behind paternal grandparents, Paul and Phyllis Cherrone, maternal great-grandmother, Mary Laursen; Godparents, uncle Douglas (Maria Clough) Cherrone and aunt Linda Laursen; auntie Sam Cherrone; great uncle and aunt John and Gabrielle Laursen and their children, Stephanie, Brandy, Zack and Elly; special family friends, Lacey Shanle and Jim "Grumpy" and Nancy McCormack; and many additional aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded by his maternal grandmother, Judy Laursen; maternal great-grandfather, Frank Laursen; paternal great-grandfather Wedo Cherrone; and paternal great-grandmothers, Shirley Schiller and Phyllis Tondini. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of St. John's NICU, Springfield for Landon's exceptional care. Funeral services for Landon Cherrone will be Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 4-8 p.m. at: Fred C.
