Our dear daughter, granddaughter, beloved sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend, Abbey McDonnell passed away suddenly on March 25, 2015 at the age of 26 following an unexpected diagnosis of acute leukemia.

She is survived by her loving parents, Kevin P. McDonnell and Gina (nee Grewenig) and Tim Heino; siblings, Andrew, Amey, Madeline and Amanda (Heino); her grandmother, Mae McDonnell; her nephew, Ari and niece, Isabella; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; also surviving Abbey is her "Soulmate", Jason Sachs.
Abbey attended St. Mary's Nativity grade school and was a graduate of Joliet West High School, Class of 2007 and a graduate of cosmetology at Professional Choice Hair Design, Class of 2006. Abbey was a beautician by passion who loved the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. Her smile and colorful personality lit up the world. Abbey will be most remembered for her willingness to help anyone in need. Her "tell it like it is" style brought laughter and joy to everyone she knew.
Special thanks to the Sachs family especially Jason, Sharon and Jessica who were with Abbey at Rush University Medical Center and special friend, "mamasita" Christie Weimer.
Eternal rest Grant unto her, O Lord and let perpetual Light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
