Obituary of Dorothy Sheridan

Dorothy P. Sheridan (nee DeLary) Age 91. At rest Monday, March 30, 2015 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Peoria and residing in Joliet most of her life. Formerly employed by the Joliet Arsenal. Dorothy enjoyed painting and doll collecting. Survived by two children, Dawn (John) DiSera of Joliet and Bruce (Sharon) Sheridan of Joliet; 10 grandchildren, Amy (Jamison) Zupancic, Michael (Jennifer) DiSera, Lisa (Jason) Szatkowski, Matthew Sheridan, Mark Studyvan, Ryan Studyvan, Brittany Studyvan, Jim (Mel) Shawmaker, Dawn Caza and Debbie Studyvan; and several great-grandchildren. Preceded by her husband, Lester L. Sheridan (2002); one grandson, Jeff Shawmaker; three sisters, Alice Sheridan, Olive McNinch and Virginia Shipman; three brothers, Joseph, William and Damus DeLary. As it was Dorothy's request, private funeral services were held with interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in her name to the humane society of the donor's choice. No visitation.
