Loma Beth Berglund Berens
(nee Berryman)
Age 86, of Earlville, IL, formerly of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2015 in Sandwich, IL. Born in Warren, IL to Ralph and Myrtle (nee Otto) Berryman on October 16, 1928. A graduate of Lockport High School. She married Cliff Berglund on December 14, 1946, and together they had seven children. She married Edward Berens on July 13, 1979.
She is survived by her seven children, Terry Berglund, Greg (Sue) Berglund, Laurel (Michael) House, Elaine (John) List, Keith (Pennie) Berglund, Holly (Jeff) Gawlik and Kevin Berglund; two-step children, David (Julie) and Patti; 23 grandchildren, Chris, Elisabeth, Michael, Greg, Malinda, Tina, Jacob, Kjerstina, Aubrey, Alyssa, Britta, Natalie, Steven, Autumn, Kariann, Jake, Justin, Mike, John, Zachary, Kalia, Haley and Alec; 24 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Zachary, Liberty, Tristan, Dane, Chase, John X. Jackson, Michael, Morgan, Kaylee, Madeline, Sela, Sena,Orion, Aries, Gianni, Luca, Domink, Arianna, Mason, Shea, Sawyer, Levi and twins Zehner and Rylie due soon; one brother, Dean (Janet) Berryman; and one sister, Linda (Ron) Downen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; and first husband, Clifford Berglund.
Loma is loved and remembered by many for her giving heart and loving nature. She touched many through her giving of her time and talents. She had a special love for children and her family and others were greatly blessed by that love.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caregivers at the Willowcrest Nursing Pavilion and the wonderful medical staff at Valley West Hospital.
Funeral Services for Loma B. Berens will be held Friday, April 3, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will be held privately.
