Obituary of Anthony Rathbun

Anthony J. Rathbun, Sr. "Tony" Age 59. At rest Monday, May 4, 2015 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center following a courageous battle with extensive medical issues. Born in Joliet, the son of the late Kenneth and Rita (nee Curley) Rathbun. A lifelong area resident. An avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. Survived are his three children, Anthony (Shellie) Rathbun, Jr. of Plainfield, Ethan Rathbun of Joliet and Emily Rathbun of Joliet; three grandchildren, Christian, Hailey and Aiden Rathbun; former wife, Dell (Jaakkola) Robinson of Plainfield; siblings, Tom, Judy, Bill, Mike and Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by his granddaughter, Marissa Rathbun (2008). As it was his request, Cremation Rites have been accorded. A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
