Obituary of Carol Hladky

Carol H. Hladky (nee Bosch) Age 73. At rest Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Chancellor, SD, the daughter of the late Hiram and Priscilla (nee Knight) Bosch. Carol relocated to Joliet in August of 2008. Graduate of Chancellor High School. For most of her life she was a homemaker, formerly employed by Standard Bank in Brighton Park, IL and loved working with the residents of Good Samaritan Home as a cook in both Parker and Lennox, SD. An avid cook and poker player. An accomplished poet, publishing her work in the Shorewood Horizon's newsletter and a published poet on poetry.com. Surviving are her four children, Barbara (Daniel) Forrest of Aberdeen, SD, Patricia (the late Dave Shires) Long of Joliet, David (Sondra) Hladky of Chancellor, SD and Elizabeth (Jesse) Bartleman of Crest Hill; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Ronald, Lisa and David Schmitz, Heather and Brittany Long, Haley Shires, Cody and Samantha Hladky and Kenzie Bartleman; one niece; two nephews; many cousins and friends. Preceded by her parents; her husband, James (2012); and her sister, Col. Lila J. Bosch (U.S. Army) (2014). Carol will be transferred to the Dindot-Klusmann Funeral Home of Lennox, SD for funeral services and interment at Chancellor Reformed Cemetery in Chancellor. A local memorial service will be held at Shorewood Horizon's Community Room, 820 Black Road, Shorewood, IL 60404 on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. For information: (815) 741-5500
