Obituary of Delores McCarney

Delores M. McCarney (nee Pruss) Age 91. At rest, Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at home. Born on March 6, 1924 to the late Joseph and Alice (nee Judnich) Pruss. A member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, Pioneers, St. Joseph Seniors, St. Joseph Church Senior Choir, Slovenian Womens Choir, St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society, KSKJ, GFWC, Illinois Federation of Womens Club and a bowling league. Volunteered at Parks School and did many fashion shows. Worked for and retired from Illinois Bell with many years of service. Survived by her daughter, Patricia Phinney; one sister, Carol T. Thomure; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Leo P. McCarney (1987); her parents; one brother, Joseph Pruss; and one son-in-law, James L. Phinney. Funeral Mass for Delores M. McCarney will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 416 N. Chicago Street, Joliet. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at church. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
