Roberto G. Niño Age 77. At rest Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Joliet Area Community Hospice. Born in Sinton, TX. Resident of Joliet/Channahon for the past 53 years. Retired from Caterpillar Inc. as a welder in 1998 following 30 years of service. Member and usher at St. Ann Catholic Church in Channahon for 43 years and a member of The Men's Club. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elisa (nee Ramos) of Channahon; three daughters, Lorina (Billie, Jr.) Schulz of Rantoul, KS, Denise (Bob) Korelc of Channahon and Lisa Lynette (Noah) Arroyo of Channahon; one son, Mario Jose Niño of Los Angeles, CA; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; eight siblings, all of TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Niño; and one brother, Ramiro. Roberto G. Niño will lie in state at St. Ann Catholic Church 24500 S. Navajo Dr., Channahon on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 9:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Private burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Minooka. In lieu of flowers, masses in his name would be appreciated. Visitation Friday, 4-7 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet.
