Obituary of Maria Churchwell

Maria J. Churchwell Age 80. Passed away Monday March 17, 2008 at home following a courageous battle with schleroderma. A loving wife and devoted mother, whose life revolved around her family. She was also an avid baseball fan and a devoted supporter of all her children's and grandchildren's activities. Survived by her children, Deborah Churchwell and Pamela (Michael) Brophy, both of Shorewood, and John (Vicki) Churchwell of Braidwood; seven grandchildren, Anthony (Nancy) White, Catherine White, Chad Peterson, John Churchwell II, Cory Churchwell, Stefanie Churchwell, and Kristina (Richard) Sundine; seven great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Malorie), Shaun, and Alyssa Ernst, Jonas Pelters, and Nickolas, Nathan, and Makayla Sundine; one great-great-grandson, Nicholas Ernst; one brother, Frank Sicuro; one sister, Gloria Pickett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by her husband, Gene Churchwell (1995), and one daughter, Tressa J. White. Funeral services for Maria J. Churchwell will be Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
