Obituary of Mary Sievert

Mary Ann Sievert (nee Culik) Age 91, of Joliet, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 18, 2015 in the emergency room of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born May 19, 1924 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late Anton "Tony" and Anna (Luksich) Culik. A lifelong resident, she made her home at Caterpillar Towers for the past three years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Surviving are her children, Patricia (Larry) Peterson of Lockport; Jeanette (Robert) Bruns of Hoschton, GA and James (Suzanne) Sievert of Shoreview, MN; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Deanne, Lynn, Christina, Bob, Matt, Chris, Jake and Kate; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Madeleine Chovan; brother, Anthony "Pro" (Betty) Culik; and several nieces and nephew. Preceded by her beloved husband of 46 years, Arthur W. "Art" Sievert (March 12, 1993); her parents; and one brother, James Culik. Funeral services for Mary Ann Sievert will be Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
