Obituary of Alan Lauterbach

Alan G. Lauterbach Age 50, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Born October 27, 1964 in Joliet, he was the son of the late Alvin J. and Dorothy (Kovach) Lauterbach. He was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working for Metalstamp, Inc. since 1988. Alan was a devoted father and grandfather who was always concerned for his daughters' happiness and well being. His grandson, Kai, was his pride and joy. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially grilling out, and practiced martial arts. He was also an avid Chicago Bears fan. Surviving are his two daughters, Alana (Christian) Spolar and Emily Lauterbach; his grandson, Kai Spolar; one sister, Janet (Asa) Smith; one brother, John Lauterbach; twin nieces, Alexa and Brianna Smith; and many cousins. A Memorial Mass for Alan Lauterbach will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1711 Burry Circle, Crest Hill, where a visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
