"Jim"
Age 82. Peacefully, Monday, August 8, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center with his family by his side following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong resident. A United States Army veteran. He was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. A lifelong avid White Sox fan.
Survived by his loving wife, Susanne C. (nee Eich) Ciarlette; children, James A. II (Colleen), Joseph R. (Angela), John C. (Dawn), Jeffrey R. (Michelle), Mary Ciarlette and Ann (Bill) Higgins; proud grandfather of Noah, Matthew, Andrew, and Nathan Ciarlette; and Joseph and Maeve Higgins; one brother, Leonard (Sharon) Ciarlette; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Cecelia (nee Uhler) Ciarlette; two brothers, George and Joe Ciarlette; and one sister, Lucille "Barb" Ciarlette.
Funeral Services for James A. Ciarlette will be Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Ambrose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. at:
