Obituary of Sylvia Randolph

Sylvia Adis Randolph (nee Langevin) Age 80, of Morris since 2012, and previously a 60 year resident of Joliet, passed away June 1, 2015 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her family at her side. Born March 8, 1935 in New Bedford, MA, she was a graduate of Fairhaven High School, Class of 1952, and was a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician. Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She had an impeccable sense of style, and will be remembered for how beautiful she always looked Though she lived a long and happy life, Sylvia remained steadfastly young at heart. A business owner for 30 years, Sylvia maintained close relationships with her clients long after the doors closed at "Sylvia's Studio." Surviving are her daughters, Luanne (Kathy) Randolph of Joliet, and Jill (Jeff) Scholtes of Morris; three grandchildren, Douglas (Dawn) Randolph, Loni Haddock and Jon Scholtes; two great-grandchildren, Macie and Jack; a daughter-in-law, Jody Randolph; one sister, Lorraine (Edmund) Cottle of Martha's Vinyard, MA; and one brother, David (Mary) Langevin in California. She joined in heaven her beloved husband of 57 years, Lonnie R. Randolph (2011); one loving son, Douglas Randolph; her parents, Maurice and June (Garlington) Langevin; and her brother, Maurice Langevin. Graveside Services for Sylvia Randolph will be Friday, July 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
