Richard G. Manning
Age 72, of Joliet, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 surrounded by his devoted family.
Born September 11, 1942 in Joliet, he was the son of the late Harry R. Manning and Alice (nee Kadunc) Manning Rechenmacher. He was a graduate of Joliet Township High School, Class of 1961, and attended Joliet Junior College for one year.
Rich worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years as both a machinist and an assembler, and was a proud member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local #851. Also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #300.
Rich loved fishing and NASCAR, and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 51 years, Lee (nee Hawkins) Manning; one son, Sean Manning of Joliet; one daughter, Susan Schraer of Minooka; two granddaughters, Nicole (Andrew Debnam) Kinsey and Amy (Michael) Albrecht; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Albrecht.
Funeral Services for Richard G. Manning will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Plainfield, for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Joliet.
