Obituary of Mary Reid

Mary E. Reid (nee Cowden) Age 56 of Joliet, at rest Friday, June 19, 2015 at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood. Born September 27, 1958 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Robert and Ethelreda (O'Donnell) Cowden. Mary loved greyhound dogs, gardening, cooking and especially spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and family. Beloved mother of Kathleen (Jim) Melton and Kelly (Chris) Belli; devoted grandmother of Matthew and Megan Belli, and Mark, Alexa, Tessa and Liana Melton; fond sister of Robert (Susanne) Cowden; dear aunt of numerous nieces and nephews; and devoted companion to her dog, Bogey. Preceded by her beloved husband, Robert C. Reid (January 5, 2015); and her parents. Funeral services for Mary Reid will be Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, with Pastor John Ciesniewski officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 p.m. until time of services.
